Recover My Files 3.9 is a maintenance utility for recovering deleted files from all system storing components, folders, memory drives, disk drives, camera card, removable drives, floppy disks, etc.
These files (or folders) stay in the system once they are deleted because of accidental actions, formatting, Windows reinstallation, hard disk failure or crash, empty the Recycle Bin, partition errors, deleted by mistakes, etc.
It does recover all kinds of files: documents, emails, pictures, photo album, video and music files.
When the user press the "Start Search" button, the application looks for erased files (all kinds) and presents them on the main window, divided in columns, showing Name of the file, Size of the file in Kb, Type of file, Recovery (status of the deleted file: Overwritten, Poor, Medium, Very Good, etc.), Folder where the file is located, Date Modified, Date Created, Date Accessed and Comment (if any). This list can be exported as a CSV (Comma Separated Values) file or directly sent to print. By the way, only the "Very goog" rated files can be directly recovered. The "Good" ones have 90% to 99% of recovering success, and so on; the worse status the lower recover possibility.
At the lower part of this window, the program displays an event log as a resume of the search action.
The files can be filtered by File name and extension, by size, by date (created, modified, accessed) or by keyword.
There are four types of search for selection: Fast file search, Complete file search, Fast format recover and Complete format recover; depending on what is necessary at every situation, the selection should me made to accomplish the desired task. |
